Fall Colour cruise

Wow, another great day on the water to enjoy the first Fall Colour Cruise. Mother nature held off on the sunshine but she also held off on the rain that threatened. A bit of an English mist accompanied us in the morning but it didn't diminish any of the enthusiasm for the 14 boats that were out on Lake Muskoka on Saturday sept. 29th for the fall color run organized by Chris Bullen.
We started off from East Bay Landing – Its was super to have extra enthusiastic boaters as 5 boats were trailered in from Collingwood, Picton, Bowmanville, Peterborough, and Innismore. We toured around East Bay, out passed Breezy Point enjoying the many little bays that Muskoka lake offers. Heading across the lake around the islands into the Indian river and up for a stop at Duke’s for a peek at all the new things going on there including a showing of Andrew Robertson’s photos that were on display in the newly renovated bent rudder cafe. We continued back down the river and over to the Bala area, meandering into dark bay and around Bala Park Island under the Tallahassee railroad bridge continuing up Acton Island heading back passed Mortimer’s point to a pot luck on Morris Island. A delicious variety of food was enjoyed among the laughter and chatter. We all had such a great time that it was unanimous that a new tradition had been started. See you next year.
