As part of our effort to have more fun on the water Mike Gridley offered to host a cruise out of Honey Harbour on Aug 27 2016. Turned out to be a great day on the water seeing the sites of Georgian Bay. 5 boats turn up for the cruise. A few stops were planned with a special visit to the historic boat Kittyhawk a 1931 Gidley. I am sure we will go to Honey Harbour again so keep a watch for the return of this event and others planed in the event section on the website and in our Classic Boat magazine.

Saturday was a was a fun day for the ACBS Toronto members and woody boat fans who joined us for the Honey Harbour Cruise. The day started at the Delawana Resort where we assembled on the docks. After lunch at theThe Narrows Grill we were off to explore Georgian Bay, or at least a small portion of it. Our final stop was at Guy and Cathy Johnstone's cottage for a bit of relaxing and socializing. The star though was Kittyhawk, Orville Wright's launch from his years as a cottager on Georgian Bay. He spent summers on Lambert Island from 1916 to 1941.

Thanks to Mike McCullough for being our guide, providing refreshments and to the Johnstone's for opening their cottage to us and allowing us to enjoy "Kittyhawk"
