Interested in Joining The ACBS?

ACBS - Toronto welcomes new members to join us in the support and preservation of Canada's rich and diversified nautical heritage. Canoes, sailboats, outboards, runabouts, launches and cruisers, all have their place in ACBS.

However, boat ownership is not necessary for membership.

We welcome all members to participate in the many ACBS - Toronto events and activities throughout the year.

Membership gives you:

• 4 issues of Classicboat magazine a year. This multi-year award winning publication contains articles about many kinds of boats, do-it-yourselfers, boats shows and historical data. Classifieds are very inexpensive for members. The advertising is also valuable for services and materials for antique boats.
• A directory of our members and information on their boats. This tool can assist you to reach fellow members, and ask about their boats.
• Invitations to several club events.
• A free ticket for the annual summer boat show.
• Information about Antique and Classic Boating events in North America.

You will find a display of wooden boats organized by ACBS - Toronto at the Toronto International Boat Show in January of each year. This is a great opportunity for club members to chat to each other while admiring the various kinds of boats on display.

Events like the Winter Workshop are more than friendly meeting places. Experts are there to share their knowledge with members who are interested in knowing more or doing more.

The ACBS - Toronto Summer In-Water Boat Show attended by approximately 8000 people, is one of the largest in North America. Viewing the 100 plus boats in the water and shopping at the vendor displays makes for a full day. This year’s show is in Gravenhurst on July 3rd.

Members love to use their boats. Rendezvous events in various locations are the perfect way to get out on the water in a classic. If you don't have a boat, rides will be arranged.

The annual ACBS Haul Out Party and Dinner marks the end of the season and acknowledges outstanding contributions by members. It's a great way to meet people!

The society has also set up Special Interest Groups for many of the individual boat marquees so members can exchange information, parts and historical data.
