for sale 1958 Peterborough Handy Boy

Regretably I have decided to sell my cherished cedar strip. It is a restored Peterborough Handy Boy 15' long and includes a 58 Johnson 35 Super seahorse. RDS20. Motor is unrestored cosmetically but has had new coils and impellor/seals in 2012, rebuilt prop in 2011. Engine owners manual & parts manual are included

The boat was professionally restored by Wykes Boat works of Rideau Lakes area in 2009. New sister ribs and a new transom were added. Included is a custom made dark blue mooring cover that covers the engine

The boat rides on a galvinized 2009 Karavan trailer

Mint unrestored , 1958 controls/tank/dash plate & electrical box . Boat is a very good runner & is used frequently thru-out the summer. Always garaged kept and a marine railway was used when the boat was not driven. 1949 35’, 12’ beam ‘Pudgie’ is a Matthews hull kit purchased and completed by the Essco Boat Co. of Essex, Ontario. Cedar on oak, single screw. In 1962 a Chrysler 383 replaced the straight eight Packard. I am the third owner. She is solid and has been very well cared for her whole life. She’s a sweet boat with her own good looks. Beautiful 20 foot Greavette, original owner, commissioned to be built in 1949. Extensive restoration done in 2008 by Class A Mechanic. Modern Ford 302 cubic inch block V8 gasoline engine. Excellent maintenance. Boat has always been stored in a wetslip boathouse- has been lifted over slip on beams in winter. Pigeon Lake, Kawarthas.

#2881 Engine #3863, Cypress and White Oak

This Dippy has been lovingly cared for and has had only four owners since 1922. Every bit of hardware, down to the floorboard screws has been saved to this day, aside from the oars, #2881 bears all the hardward it had when it left the D.P. Factory. Seating in the dippy has been made comfortable through black leather cushions. This Uncle Sam had been the Port Carling Dippy Factory's demonstrator boat. The trailer, bumpers and custom cover are included in the selling price. Photos, history and maintenance records will be sold with the boat. The boat has been maintained by Paul Doddington ("The Dippy Doctor") since the mid '90's.
