You couldn't have ordered better weather for this year's Spring Tour on April 21st there wasn't a cloud in the sky and the ice had left Gravenhurst Bay just 2 days prior to the event. . Over 325 people joined us for lunch at the Port Carling Community Centre including Dr. Kim Ward who traveled from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan specifically for Spring Tour. Kim is restoring a 1963 Acme Aqualiner - a rare birch, mahogany, and oak inboard originally manufactured in Western Canada.
New stops this year included Peter Breen's shop in Rockwood, Sandy and Tamara Kennedy's remarkable collection of vintage outboards in Gloucester Pool, as well as Curtis Hillmans and Bay Pridday's - both in Milford Bay.
Special thanks to all the shops that opened their doors to us this year - it takes a lot of time and effort to prepare so that we can safely view the amazing projects that have been ongoing this winter.
Mark your calendar's for next year's tour - April 26th, 2008.
